Enquire (Enrich and Research Outputs and Impacts)

View the project's Final Report on issuu

The Enquire project at the University of Glasgow involved work on the types of data captured for research outputs and impact at the University in response to requirements including Research Councils UK (RCUK) Research Outcomes, the Research Excellent Framework (REF) and internal reporting.

The project explored practical methods to make the most efficient use of resource in this context. The work involved staff from Research and Enterprise, Library and IT Services and engagement with College-based staff.

It built on the previous Enrich project that successfully linked the Institutional Repository (Enlighten) with other core University systems such as the Research System, meaning that outputs and impact can be linked to sources of funding that supported them.

The Enquire project team has shared its journey and findings with a wide range of stakeholders.

The University feels that it has come a long way and delivered functionality that will be put into full operational use as a result of the project; the work has enabled the accelerated preparation of the environment for output and impact reporting at Glasgow.
